I lead mixed methods research end-to-end and turn ambiguity into direction.
I frame ambiguous product questions into concreate research deliverables.
I run studies in fast agile cycles, and translate findings into clear recommendations.
I build personas and journey maps to surface broader patterns.
I utilize AI-accelerated workflows to move faster without giving up rigor.
I own research programs and mentor researchers to raise the bar on methodology and insight.
I turn research into decisions teams can act on.
Mixed-methods research end-to-end. Generative and evaluative studies, usability testing, journey mapping, and comparative analysis. Whatever the decision needs, I can run it.
Curriculum development and e-learning built in Articulate 360 Storyline, Rise, and Camtasia, grounded in adult learning principles and ADDIE.
Built research programs from the ground up and trained designers in research methods to scale insight ownership beyond the research team. When research scales past one person, insight stops waiting in line.
I use AI to accelerate analysis, synthesis, transcription and coding. I build agentic workflows with a human audit trail so findings stay traceable rather than a black box. The model moves faster, but the judgment stays reliable.
Research delivered for Fortune 500 and 100 companies across Financial Services, Tech, Transportation, and Retail.
I'm open to remote contract and full-time UX research roles, ideally where research owns real influence over what gets built. I do my best work on ambiguous, high-stakes problems: onboarding and conversion, trust and comprehension, and the gap between what users say and what they actually do. I'm equally at home as a team's first researcher or as a senior voice raising the bar on an established team.
Four projects covering research at scale, comparative analysis, in-depth interviews, and instructional design.
A five-second one-click test across five competitor mortgage sites and the finding that contextual numbers are a trust liability.
View case study →1,527 participants across three study iterations, and a weighted ranking that shipped as a new revenue stream.
View case study →Eight in-depth interviews on how buyers evaluate a B2B product page, and the trust paradox that shaped the recommendations.
View case study →An instructional design sample: a four module course that gives PMs a framework for research decisions.
View case study →My path into user experience started in a usability lab at the University of Kentucky. My first role had me running end-to-end testing on printer product lines and designing the instructional materials that taught people how to use them. That pairing set the pattern for everything since. I have never been satisfied with only finding the problem. I want to close the loop and make sure the insight actually reaches the people who need it.
Over the last decade I have led research across financial services, SaaS, healthcare, and B2B and B2C products. I built a research program from the ground up as the only researcher at a high-volume lending marketplace, running more than 40 studies across three years. I led strategy and execution for a Fortune 500 client portfolio that included American Express, Meta, Google, and Charles Schwab, and generated over $160,000 in revenue across 18 projects with the American Express Digital Innovation Lab. Throughout, I built education and mentorship programs so the teams I worked with could carry the research forward without me.
My degrees are all from the University of Kentucky: a Master of Science in Education with a concentration in Instructional Systems Design, a Graduate Certificate in Human Technology Interaction, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. That combination is why I think about research and learning as one continuous craft rather than two separate jobs.
These days I am focused on where the field is heading, using AI to accelerate the parts of research that used to slow everything down while keeping human judgment firmly in control of what the evidence means. Based in Lexington, Kentucky, I am open to remote contract and full-time work.
